Miscellaneous
I love to look beyond the stuff I already know! I love to read upon history of amp builders, pedal makers and luthiers. I love to read biography’s of famous (or not so famous) artists. And I love to churn through second hand stores and find music I don’t know, find interesting books or find electronic toys I don’t recall. This segment will be used to add the best (or worst) founds

Feb 2026: Merlijn Kerkhof – Oude Maasweg kwart voor drie
Something for the Dutch readers. The Dutch band ‘The Amazing Stroopwafels’ front man share my surname but also the city I was born / grew up in (no family). This book goes into the history of the band and has so much recognisable places it is (for me) a great read. It is a fast reading book that informed me a lot on this weird band. Recommended!

Jan 2026: The Cardigans – Long gone before daylight
I found this CD in a used CD tray at the library. I never was into the Cardigans but this CD is an amazing autumn lazy at night CD. To me, the vibe, songs and sounds are almost perfect and the CD is one complete package that fits the cover. Favourite track(s): No Sleep

Dec 2025: Steve Ridinger – Peace, Love & Fuzz
I got this book through a friend. Very rare outside of the USA, this small book (it’s really tiny) is an amazing read on the person behind fOXX pedals, the Danelectro guitars reissies and Danelectro pedals. I read it in a single evening and liked the tone and info it gave me. A great read for anyone interested to start in the pedal or guitar market!
